Our Story

Hi, I'm Lisa – the face behind Little Lis Studio.

If you'd told me a few years ago that I'd be spending my weekends making earrings and chatting to customers at local markets, I probably wouldn't have believed you.

By day, I work full-time in Hi-Vis as a Work Health and Safety Coordinator. Creating has become my happy place – a chance to slow down, switch off and make something that brings a little joy to someone else's day.

I love designing pieces that are easy to wear, lightweight and just a little bit different. Some are inspired by the colours of nature, others by the changing seasons, and sometimes an idea simply starts with a colour combination I can't stop thinking about.

The best part? Seeing someone put on a pair of earrings and instantly smile.

Whether it's helping someone choose a pair at a market, creating a custom order with their favourite colours, or welcoming a returning customer back to my stall, those moments are what make this little business so rewarding.

People often ask where the name Little Lis Studio came from.

"Little Lis" was the nickname a dear friend gave me many years ago. She had a love for beautiful things and always appreciated the little details. She's no longer with us, but when I started creating jewellery, I often found myself thinking about how much she would have loved it. Naming my business after the nickname she gave me felt like the most fitting way to honour her memory, and she inspires me more than she'll ever know.

Every piece is handmade by me here in the Hunter Valley, NSW, Australia in small batches and with plenty of care. My hope is that when you wear something from Little Lis Studio, it simply makes you feel good—whether you're heading to work, catching up with friends, or dressing up for a special occasion.
